Despite the absence of an award ceremony this year, Consilium is still celebrating its achievement of being voted one of the UK’s best places to work.
Consilium Recruit, which employs 26 people across its offices in Warwickshire and Worcestershire, was named at number 19 in the small business category in the prestigious Great Places to Work Institute’s 2020 awards.
Formed in 2001, the technical recruitment expert places skilled engineering and management professionals into some of the most advanced and dynamic engineering businesses across the UK and Europe. These range from new technology start-up companies through to blue-chip engineering groups across automotive, aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors and has cemented its position as the leading authority in battery technology and electric vehicle recruitment.
This recognition follows a rigorous external assessment and interviews with the firm’s employees – with staff answering questions on culture and management practices. Following the audit Consilium was praised for their flexible working approach, training and development, how they reward and acknowledge staff, and for their work in the community.
Director and co-founder at Consilium Recruit, Russell Tuck, said: “To be recognised as one of the country’s great places to work is fantastic and despite the challenges and uncertainty being faced by much of industry at present, the focus is to keep on delivering”
“Since we launched the business we have tried to attract and retain the best talent into our business. So, to see our employees give such positive feedback on the company, our culture and their working environment, is superb.
“We work hard to recognise and reward our staff, listen to them, celebrate success together and importantly, support their goals and career aspirations. We have also invested heavily in equipment and systems, plus personal development and training coupled with even more flexible approaches to work to provide the support where it’s needed most”.
“That effort has been well worth it. Without a happy and motivated team we simply wouldn’t have seen the success we’ve enjoyed in what is a hugely competitive industry. To be ranked in the UK’s top twenty really is something special for us all.”
This is the third time in the last six years that Consilium Recruit has been recognised by the Great Places to Work Institute for small businesses with between 20-49 employees and recognised 25 firms this year out of several hundred applicants.
