Estimator

A specialist manufacturer of offsite modular construction solutions to the education sector is seeking an Estimator to join the commercial team based in Coventry on a permanent basis.

The Estimator will produce estimating design models and tender submissions working in close collaboration with the manufacturing headquarters.


Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton,

Salary:  £ Negotiable + Car Allowance + Health Cash Back Scheme + Employer Pension


The Role

The Estimator will produce estimating design models and tender submissions in an accurate, competitive, and timely manner ensuring that the tendering process is adhered to and that quantities are accurately cross-referenced with the 3D modelling plan.

The Estimator will ensure that risks are identified and mitigated to ensure that projects are delivered safely to the correct level of profitability.

The Estimator will maintain and update standard documentation in line to the business’ standard operating procedures and make use of the relevant design packages to help create detail and accurate 3D models.


The Person

The successful candidate for the role of Estimator will have a keen interest in the construction industry and ideally some understanding of modular type building. You will be conversant with 3D modelling tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.

The Estimator will have experience in compiling Bid and Tender documents and a keen awareness of the importance for detail in both the 3D modelling content and the commercial aspects relating to the design.

The Estimator work collaboratively with the commercial and design teams and demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
