Control Systems Engineer

Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading engineering & manufacturing group who specialise in innovative solutions & products to the EV and clean energy sectors. Due to the award of new programs, they have a number of new vacancies to join their expanding team and are currently recruiting for a three Senior Controls Systems Engineers.


Location: Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Leamington Spa, Banbury. (Hybrid)

Salary: £40,000 p.a. - £60,000 p.a.

The Role 

• Design system architectures.
• Design and test control systems software using model-based approach.
• Ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Conduct safety assessments and implementing robust design processes.
• Designing and deploying innovative test control systems and rigs.
• Support prototype builds and work with customers.
• Generate validation plans from system requirements.
• Build, develop and maintain good relationships with customers.
• Manage projects through from conception to through to completion and customer handover.
• Generate reporting templates for communication of system models.

The Candidate 

• Degree qualified or similar in engineering.
• 5 years plus experience as Controls Systems Engineer.
• Experience in writing system and software specifications.
• Self-motivated, creative and adaptive team player.
• Willingness to take on roles, responsibilities and challenges required to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
